Avista has been actively recycling since we first opened our doors in 1990.  Since then, we’ve saved millions of gallons of water and kilowatt hours of electricity.

We re-use:
Packing materials
Wheelchairs and crutches
Interoffice envelopes

Printer cartridges
Medical equipment

We reduce waste by:
Purchasing mercury-free thermometers and blood pressure gauges
Using energy efficient lightbulbs
Using real silverware and dishes in the cafeteria and for patient meals
Using paper to-go boxes in the cafeteria instead of styrofoam
